Responsibilities
Supervising ecological construction supervision (öBB) for complex construction projects in the fields of water management and infrastructure
Monitoring compliance with nature conservation and species protection requirements during detailed design and throughout construction
Informing contractors and local site supervision about relevant nature conservation requirements, e.g.: protection and exclusion zones, particularly protected species, protection and avoidance measures
Preparing environmental and nature-conservation related plans and reports, in particular: species protection assessments, landscape management accompanying plans (LBP)
Requirements
University degree in Biology, Landscape Planning, Landscape Ecology or a related field
Professional experience in ecological construction supervision
Proof of or certification in environmental construction supervision (e.g., DWA, Umweltinstitut Offenbach) desirable
Sound knowledge of relevant nature conservation legislation, technical understanding and basic skills in ArcGIS
Good knowledge of flora and fauna, especially species relevant to planning (breeding birds, amphibians, bats, etc.)
Proficient use of GIS and MS Office standard software
Conflict resolution skills and an independent, structured, goal-oriented working style
Team player with excellent communication skills
Fluent German (min. C1) and very good English skills
