Responsibilities
- Independently design, assemble, and prepare complex electrical drawings
- Update and revise existing utility and infrastructure drawings based on engineering changes and field conditions
- Perform field checks to ensure drawings accurately reflect site conditions
- Apply engineering practices and electric utility construction standards to assigned projects
- Organize, manage, and direct drafting workflow for assignments within this grade level
- Provide guidance and instruction to other drafting personnel as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of drafting and design experience using Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) software (Autodesk/AutoCAD)
- Ability to work in both office and field environments
- Familiarity with engineering practices relevant to assigned projects and with electric utility construction methods and procedures
- Strong organizational skills
- Associate degree in Drafting, Survey Technology, or a related discipline required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
