About the role
- Sachbearbeiter Finanzen managing financial stability within an educational setting, ensuring proper financial reporting and compliance with HGB standards.
Responsibilities
- Processing incoming invoices in accounts payable
- Recording additions to fixed assets based on incoming invoices
- Monthly invoicing in the billing department
- Support with monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code)
- Monthly settlement of parental fees, taking contractual provisions from care agreements and, where applicable, operator contracts into account
- Maintenance and creation of master and transactional data
- Handover of data to the accounting department
- Collection of contributions via SEPA direct debit mandates
- Payment transactions and approvals
- Reconciliation of accounts receivable accounts
- Monitoring of open items and management of dunning procedures
- Point of contact for daycare center managers on the above topics
Requirements
- Completed vocational qualification as a financial accountant, tax clerk, or other commercial/business-related training
- At least 2 years' professional experience in financial accounting desirable
- Knowledge of HGB and tax law
- Confident user of MS Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Teams
- Service-oriented mindset
- Independent and solution-oriented working style
