Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly consolidation of the Group, review consolidation journals prepared by members of the team and a key point of contact for queries from the local finance teams.
- Assist in the planning of half year and year process and acting as a key point of contact for auditor the external auditors.
- Researching and drafting accounting memos on technical areas of accounting.
- Assist in the preparation of audit committee papers.
- Supporting in updating group accounting policies and providing training to local teams.
- Collaborate with the systems team on changes to the system for new accounting requirements and process improvements.
- Building strong relationships with the Group tax, treasury and FP&A teams.
- Assisting in the accounting for the group’s share based payment schemes.
- Assist in the annual impairment review process.
- Working as part of a wider team to deliver the annual report.
Requirements
- Technically qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) trained in practice with a top tier firm.
- Experience of half year and year end reporting in a listed group.
- Experience of multi-currency consolidations.
- Experience in using consolidation systems.
- Experience of being a key point of contact for auditors.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills.
