About the role

  • Head of Marketing overseeing strategy and execution of DataGuard's B2B SaaS marketing initiatives. Driving revenue growth through innovative demand generation and cohesive marketing leadership.

Responsibilities

  • You own DataGuard’s marketing strategy and execution end-to-end, with full accountability for pipeline generation, efficiency, positioning, and contribution to ambitious revenue growth—balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution
  • You build and scale a predictable demand engine across performance marketing, inbound, outbound support, and regulation-led GTM motions, continuously improving CAC, conversion, ROI, and pipeline quality
  • You turn regulatory change (e.g. NIS2, EU AI Act) and product innovation into compelling positioning and narratives, establishing DataGuard as a trusted category authority through proof-based storytelling and thought leadership
  • You lead and align Product Marketing, Brand, Content, Demand Gen, Partner Marketing, and Revenue Enablement into one cohesive, revenue-focused organization with clear messaging and strong sales enablement
  • You drive high-impact growth initiatives including events, field marketing, and partner ecosystem enablement (1-Tier & 2-Tier), ensuring measurable pipeline contribution
  • You establish a rigorous marketing operating model and build a high-performing international team, driving performance through clear KPIs, experimentation (incl. AI-driven approaches), and tight GTM alignment

Requirements

  • Proven senior leadership experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with clear ownership of pipeline creation, revenue impact, and GTM outcomes in a scaling environment.
  • Strong track record in demand generation and GTM orchestration, across performance marketing, inbound, sales‑aligned motions, and longer, multi‑stakeholder buying journeys.
  • Deep product marketing and positioning expertise, able to simplify complex solutions, differentiate in competitive markets, and elevate conversations to executive and board level.
  • Demonstrated experience building and enabling partner and channel ecosystems through structured marketing programs and joint GTM execution.
  • Comfort leading marketing transformation, including experimentation with AI‑driven and data‑led GTM approaches.
  • Highly analytical and data‑driven, with the ability to manage KPIs, funnel performance, attribution, and cross‑functional alignment without losing strategic clarity.
  • Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, hands‑on mindset—equally comfortable in executive discussions and executional problem‑solving.
  • Excellent English communication skills required; German language proficiency is highly valued.
