Responsibilities
The Marketing Intern will work collaboratively with the marketing team to help amplify Clarkston’s voice and expertise through a variety of channels, including but not limited to, blog posts, trends papers, video copy, and eBooks.
Collaborate with the marketing team, leadership, and industry experts to produce relevant content and topics of research that meets the needs of key stakeholders and our audiences
Remain current on developments and issues within the economy and politics relevant to the life sciences, consumer products, and retail industries
Prepare thoughtful, accurate, and well-written pieces for external distribution
Handle multiple projects simultaneously and resolve possible conflicts
Conduct research within the life sciences, consumer products, and retail industries to support report development

Requirements
A student who is currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program from an accredited college or university
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with an emphasis on professional writing
Strong research and analytical skills with interest in content strategy and digital marketing; business strategy; and consumer products, life sciences, retail, and management consulting
Self-motivated team-player with strong leadership and organizational skills
Ability to execute responsibilities to a high quality and with minimal direction
We would prefer an intern who lives locally in the RDU area and is able to support a hybrid position. The intern would work at our office in Durham twice per week, and work remotely the rest of the week.
As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to submit two writing samples. These can include blog posts, academic writing assignments, or other relevant written work that demonstrates their writing ability. Our team will reach out to you to request these samples.
