About the role
- Executive Director overseeing national operations and infrastructure for CBC/Radio-Canada. Leading modernization, cybersecurity, and collaboration across services and sectors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all critical national infrastructure: networks, data centers, transmission, monitoring, operational cybersecurity, and shared platforms and solutions
- Plan, manage, and control the national service continuity strategy
- Lead large technical teams with a unifying leadership style, fostering a culture of rigor and continuous improvement
- Drive all stages of infrastructure modernization toward flexible, intelligent, and eco-responsible architectures
- Establish standards for corporate systems and solutions
- Lead all processes related to cybersecurity, redundancy, resilience, and obsolescence
- Optimize the financial model, plan long-term investments, and manage relationships with vendors and partners
- Strengthen collaboration between French and English Services, as well as between the Innovation & Delivery and Real Estate sectors
- Drive the transition toward cloud computing, virtualization, advanced telemetry, and automation
- Ensure sound management of human, financial, and material resources
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 10 years in a strategic leadership role
- A recognized expert in technology strategies within a large-scale organization
- An excellent communicator capable of building trust with multiple stakeholders
- Proven ability to navigate environments requiring coordination across multiple teams
- Bilingual in English and French (both oral and written)
- Highly proficient in planning and project management
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams
