Sr Advanced Hardware Engineer developing Next-Generation Airborne 3D Radar technologies at Honeywell in Redmond, WA. Collaborating with teams and contributing to aviation technology advancements.
Responsibilities
Design, Testing and validating products & processes from prototype to market
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Identify opportunities and propose technical improvements for existing and new product lines
Execute and plan project subtasks (Designing, Testing, etc)
Refine engineering designs by drafting and releasing drawing changes in Team Center
Establish and follow methodologies that push forward new concepts or refine existing concepts
Troubleshoot and diagnose product performance issues
Assist in product and process certification for customer acceptance
Collaborate with obsolescence team in identifying and qualifying alternate part
Communicate any non-compliance incidents and results of internal project audits to stakeholders
Guide engineers, technicians and associates to ensure project and product adherence to specifications and quality standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
Strong understanding of a variety of hardware engineering principles, methodologies and specifications
Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in Hardware engineering
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience in Aerospace, Avionics, Radar, RF or related is of value.
Capability to complete demanding assignments by applying advanced hardware engineering methods and tools
Ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions
Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balance program demands
