Responsibilities
Design/develop custom hardware enclosure solutions for electronic systems used in autonomous vehicles.
Utilize off-the-shelf components to create efficient and cost-effective hardware designs.
Identify and select suitable vendors for sourcing components and materials.
Oversee and supervise vendor activities to ensure quality and timely delivery of components.
Ensure hardware designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Perform testing and validation of hardware solutions to ensure durability and performance in rugged environments.
Conduct failure analysis and implement improvements to enhance hardware reliability.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and technical drawings.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in hardware materials and technologies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. (Advanced degrees preferred)5-10 years’ experience.
Proven experience in hardware design for electronic systems, preferably in the GNSS, robotics, or autonomous vehicle industries.
Strong knowledge of off-the-shelf components and materials used in electronic hardware.
Experience in vendor selection, negotiation, and supervision.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing hardware solutions.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for electronic hardware.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
