Inside Sales Technical Specialist providing estimating, quoting, and technical support at ASC Steel Deck. Supporting Outside Sales Representatives and managing customer inquiries in California.
Responsibilities
Provide estimating, quoting, quote follow up, and market price tracking support to Deck Division Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs).
Support all sales territories during OSR absences and vacations.
Serve as first line technical support for customers and general technical inquiries received by Customer Service Representatives and through the ASC website.
Deliver accurate estimates, responsive quotations, and technical product guidance to customers and OSR’s.
Manage low volume customer base for California territories.
Stay current of product knowledge, pricing, and competitor offerings.
Assist OSR’s with product substitution submittals.
Provide value engineering proposal support to OSR’s.
Participate in weekly sales meetings and 1:1 meeting with OSR, taking responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned action items.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of degree
3 years technical experience in sales, estimating, customer service and/or project management
2 years related to structural products.
5+ years technical experience in sales, customer service, estimating and/or project management (preferred)
Knowledge of competitors steel deck Products (preferred)
Knowledge of ASC Steel Deck Products (preferred)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures (preferred)
