Responsibilities
Oversee planning, budgeting, compliance, and risk management for the Moda Center renovation and joint authority.
Build financial and reporting systems, track fund activity, and ensure audit-ready documentation.
Lead legislative implementation efforts, draft required reports, and advise DAS leadership on statutory impacts.
Prepare high-level briefings and coordinate communications with the Governor’s Office, DAS leadership, and public partners.
Manage consultants, contracts, and procurement activities tied to major project milestones.
Coordinate statewide partners to establish and operate the Moda Center joint authority.
Facilitate governance decisions, intergovernmental agreements, and ongoing collaboration with DAS, the Governor’s Office, Department of Justice, Department of Revenue, State Treasurers Office, and the City of Portland and possible other local government entities.
Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and five years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to eight years of professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
Experience must include leading complex, multi‑agency, or enterprise‑scale projects, including policy or legislative implementation work.
