About the role
- Technical Writer learning new technologies to produce aerospace documentation. Requires collaboration and understanding of technical languages and documentation standards.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for learning new technologies using various software tools to produce accurate and comprehensive documentation.
- Your tasks will include determining documentation requirements, gathering data from technical staff, and reading and analyzing diagrams and technical drawings.
- Collaborating with product specialists and technical instructors to verify content.
- Planning and conducting research on hardware and software.
- Writing and editing documents, tailoring materials to specifications, and computer-based validations.
- Participating in internal peer reviews and coordinating review and approval processes.
Requirements
- University or college diploma in Communications or Computer Science.
- Three to five years of experience as a technical writer.
- Proficiency with the S1000D XML authoring tool and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of HTML and DITA.
- Bilingual (French and English) required.
