Responsibilities
- Play a key role in supporting and shaping key internal engineering initiatives
- Be supported by a team of engineers to build or deliver solutions to other engineering teams
- Help shape what these solutions look like and set best practices
- Engage with teams to support their adoption of solutions
- Accelerate other engineering teams to deliver value to their customers and reach their goals
- Engage with third party vendors to ensure alignment with our needs
- Drive improvements
- Measure impact by key engineering success metrics
- Work autonomously where appropriate, with support from leadership
Requirements
- A background in working on software engineering problems, particularly in cloud based environments (we mostly use AWS)
- Experience in agile processes, defining user stories, and managing work backlogs
- Experience defining product roadmaps and supporting long term planning
- Strong communication skills that can adapt to the right audience, clearly and concisely
- This role is likely to have involvement with our generative AI tools and goals, so we have a strong preference for someone with experience in rolling out and supporting AI and agentic tools
- Knowledge of using feedback and data to help inform decision making, and articulate clear outcomes through company and team metrics
- Able to bring together multiple views and inputs, and turn that into requirements to support product development
