About the role
- Senior Associate in Loan Operations handling settlement processes for loan syndications and trades at a financial services company with a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Support the settlement process of primary loan syndications and secondary loan trades, including funding and documentation matters
- Significant interaction with senior management, SS&C GlobeOp clients, their trading counterparties, agent banks, custodians, trustees and other SS&C GlobeOp departments (i.e.: fund accounting, operations, OTC operations and OTC Pricing) relative to loan settlements
- Investigate and resolve closing and transactional issues in a timely manner
- Participate in the daily/weekly preparation and review of reports, metrics provided to our clients, senior managers to highlight status of trades and risks
- Train and mentor junior staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance or related discipline
- 2+ years financial services/securities industry managerial experience in operations and or loan operations.
- Understanding of syndicated loans; including trade closings - LSTA market settlement conventions.
- Knowledge of ClearPar, WSO, and Advent Geneva experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure and make deadlines
- Solid client relationship management skills
