Responsibilities
- Manage projects that involve new technologies to develop and deliver engineering solutions for transmission networks.
- Provide leadership and co-ordination across internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Create and maintain a high-level network activity roadmap to ensure visibility of all key elements for network development and coordination decisions.
- Effectively manage project risk and mitigate any emerging issues.
- Develop initiatives to minimize impact on deliverability and manage interfaces with outage planning.
- Develop accurate capital expenditure forecasts and supervise the creation of robust project plans.
- Communicate programme development and project status to stakeholders, highlighting engineering development issues along with recommendations for mitigating actions.
- Engage in and drive process improvement initiatives in collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline or equivalent experience
- Experienced in working in multi-disciplined teams at a professional level.
- Extensive experience in planning activities for complex and interactive technical projects, along with significant expertise in a programme delivery or project planning environment.
- Experienced in large expenditure projects delivering on a timeline with commercial implications.
- Sound IT skills with competent experience in Microsoft Office suite.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
