About the role
- Product Integration Engineer providing technical support for new product development in the marine industry. Collaborating on integration projects, data analytics, and product launches with significant technical involvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support as an active member of the new product development program teams
- Core team member for New Product Development Teams as assigned, providing data-based input to the project(s) to ensure a successful launch
- Act as the voice of the Product Integration team, using VOC based methods to represent Mercury and OEM expectations
- Communicate the impact of the program to OEM’s specific to installation/configuration/system
- Responsible for completing integration project deliverables as outlined in Mercury’s product development processes
- Provide detailed information regarding new product changes for incorporation into ACTION Presentations
- Leverage data analytics to make strategic and tactical business decisions
- Assist Product Application Engineers with the integration of marine propulsion systems, including new product updates, training and general installation support
- Support product launches in preparation on partner vessels and event support
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of related experience
- Knowledge of marine engine, propulsion systems and electronic controls
- Knowledge of marine industry and basic vessel design
- Able and willing to perform in vessel testing and setup, along with trouble shooting and repairs
