IT Support Engineer ensuring smooth operation of information systems and networks for TDSi. Role involves collaborating with stakeholders for technological advancements and system security.
Responsibilities
Ensuring the smooth operation of the information system and the quality of the network, taking into account user expectations and needs, while ensuring maximum system security
Implementing the operational and security strategy of the Group and the Company
Liaising between Group IT and UK business stakeholders for continuous improvement and technological advancement of the wider business
Achieving the objectives set by the Group IT department, including participation in the definition of strategy and implementation of development projects
Performing needs analysis and technology watch, to anticipate necessary changes and propose improvements
Implementing and administrating operating systems and networks with the IT department
Maintaining and developing a system and network infrastructure with the IT department and providing technical support to new system projects.
Requirements
Proficiency in architecture and system functionalities
Proficiency in telecoms technologies, Internet, office environments, operating systems (e.g. Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016, Linux)
Proficiency in Active Directory and LDAP directories
Knowledge of IT and telecommunications security standards and procedures
Knowledge of network and system administration
Knowledge of VMWare or Hyper-V virtualization
Knowledge of communication protocols
Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting IT equipment
Highly valued: 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar position.
