About the role
- Group Estate & Minerals Manager providing strategic property support to the Minerals Division and Group Property Director. Focused on planning consent process and mineral development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support to operations within the Minerals Division and the wider estate
- Focus on progressing strategically important projects through the planning consent process
- Enable mineral development opportunities through leasehold and freehold acquisition and negotiation
- Undertake commercial property work within Industrial and Commercial portfolio to support the Group Property Director
- Manage leasehold and freehold negotiations, due diligence exercises, planning and environmental permit applications, and asset management initiatives
- Act as the principal point of contact for Planning Authorities and Environment Agency
- Ensure compliance with planning permissions, environmental permits, and lease covenants
- Provide ongoing property support/advice to operational management team to shape property strategy
Requirements
- Chartered Surveyor (MRICS or potentially MRTPI qualified)
- Solid, hands-on experience in the minerals industry
- Strong communicator, able to engage effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners
- Commercially astute, with strong business awareness and a practical approach to decision-making
- Ability to travel nationally as required, with a full driving licence
- Adaptable and comfortable with new technology
