About the role
- Support the photographer and editing team with operational tasks and image treatment for publications. Relevant for those pursuing careers in journalism, design, and related fields.
Responsibilities
- Basic Image Editing: Perform essential adjustments, such as brightening dark photos, using image editing software.
- Editing Support: Assist editors and photographers with routine tasks and prepare material for publication.
- Image Research: Search for, select, and organize images relevant to the company’s stories or news items.
- Stock Image Research: Use agencies and image banks (internal and external) to find licensed, high-quality photos.
- News Monitoring: Monitor the internet to find coverage of specific news items (for example: cases in other cities) to provide context and locate supporting visual material.
- Internal Systems Use: Learn to use the company’s content and archive management systems (ARC, HERMES).
- File Organization: Keep visual material cataloged and accessible to the team.
Requirements
- Age between 18 and 23 years old
- High school diploma
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Interest in photography and image editing
- Interest in pursuing a career in journalism, graphic design, arts, or related fields
- Familiarity with Photoshop
