About the role
- Director of Social Services overseeing clinical and case management functions for Urban Pathways, empowering vulnerable residents in New York City.
Responsibilities
- Manages and ensures that performance-based incentives and all other goals of the program are met.
- Provides leadership to program staff.
- Manages and develops staff, including coaching, training and mentoring.
- Oversees all clinical provisions of the program for clients, including but not limited to casework, case plans, housing placements, substance abuse/MICA counseling, incident reporting, investigation documentation, and all other activities.
- Coordinates clinical meetings with case management staff and other inter-disciplinary teams.
- Participates in the development of Urban Pathways program policies and procedures.
- Oversees the on-site medical and psychiatric services including medication management.
- Serves on call to address emergency needs on a twenty-four-hour basis.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other related field required.
- LCSW preferred.
- Five years of experience supporting adults experiencing mental illness and/or multiple challenges (MICA), including five years of clinical and supervisory experience required.
- Experience working in an SRO or any residential program setting preferred.
- Familiarity with programs relevant to funding source regulations required.
- Experience with individuals experiencing homeless and/or mentally illness and substance abuse population preferred.
