About the role
- Digital Engineering Data Solutions Architect at Draper developing systems for national security. Working with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative digital engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Performs analysis approaches for a particular problem and independently execute assignments
- Independently execute system engineering lifecycle assignments; concept and architecture design, integration, testing and operation
- Contribute high quality content for technical reports and presentations with minimal guidance
- Proactively identify needs and concerns associated with design decisions and communicate them to project leadership
- Contribute to the updates of best practices and processes to reflect the most up to date tools and procedures
- Work in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment including stakeholders and external partners
- Contribute to translation of requirements into technical and architectural decisions
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- An M.S. degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
- Knowledge and interest in interdisciplinary work spanning Systems Engineering, Machine Learning and Data Science
- Experience with relational Ontologies, APIs, designing schemas for workflows
- Experience with various types of data, data states, frequency, volume
- Experience in managing data from interdisciplinary and various program protection levels
- Requires 3-5 years experience in systems analysis or related
- Experience in use of MBSE tools such as SysML, knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience in integrating descriptive modeling tools with other simulation tools
