About the role
- Building Automation Systems Engineering Manager overseeing design and maintenance of building management systems in data centers. Requires strong knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the building management systems, including HVAC, electrical, and other critical infrastructure.
- Continuously monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to BMS, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to data center operations.
- Ensure all systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Lead and manage BAS-related projects, including upgrades, installations, and expansions.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
- Provide guidance and training to the facilities team on BAS operations and best practices.
- Maintain detailed records of system operations, project progress, and any issues encountered.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in building automation systems, preferably in a data center environment.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and data center infrastructure.
- Proficiency in BAS software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management and leadership abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics and blueprints.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports.
