Building Automation Systems Engineering Manager overseeing design and maintenance of building management systems in data centers. Requires strong knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Oversee the operation and maintenance of the building management systems, including HVAC, electrical, and other critical infrastructure.
Continuously monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to BMS, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to data center operations.
Ensure all systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
Lead and manage BAS-related projects, including upgrades, installations, and expansions.
Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
Provide guidance and training to the facilities team on BAS operations and best practices.
Maintain detailed records of system operations, project progress, and any issues encountered.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in building automation systems, preferably in a data center environment.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and data center infrastructure.
Proficiency in BAS software and tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong project management and leadership abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics and blueprints.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports.
