About the role
- Specialist Accounting Fixed Asset leading projects for the US Capital Assets team. Assisting with financial reports and providing guidance for compliance with Enbridge’s policies.
Responsibilities
- Identify, coordinate and lead various special projects for the US Capital Assets team
- Provide support for Unify (ERP conversion to Oracle Cloud)
- Assist the Capital Assets Manager and Supervisors with review of financial reports for accuracy
- Provide guidance to internal business clients to facilitate compliance with Enbridge’s Capitalization Policy
- Liaise with GDS Capital Management for consistency in interpretation of capital processes
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert in representing Capital Assets with external consultants
- Coordinate with TIS to resolve system issues impacting Capital Assets
- Analyze and solve complex accounting matters
Requirements
- University/college degree in business, commerce, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years directly related and progressive experience
- Accounting designation or equivalent certification (CPA, CMA or equivalent) preferred but not required
- Outstanding interpersonal skills combined with a results-oriented mentality
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, as well as keen attention to detail
- Independently assess, exercise good judgement, and accurately resolve complex issues
- Proactive and skilled at anticipating problems before they arise
