Responsibilities
Perform office and technical tasks to accomplish specialized processing of information, documents or materials.
Complete, verify, identify and resolve problems; maintain statistical, financial and other records.
Contact with site staff providing information and problem-solving.
Operate a variety of manual or automated office systems to establish, retrieve, verify, research, update and authorize processing actions.
Budget control of the procurement process, purchase transactions, and direct pay activities.
Requirements
Associate degree in accounting from an appropriately accredited institution AND one year of accounting experience;
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma AND three years of experience in accounting work;
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in procurement including encumbrance closing
Experience in fixed assets control and reporting.
Knowledge of accounting methods and practices.
Experience in Accounts payable.
Proficiency in MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or Outlook.
