Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership, direction, and oversight to the Actuarial Center of Excellence
Deliver expert actuarial support across all legal entities and reporting units
Ensure timely, accurate submission of actuarial deliverables to regulators, auditors, and internal/external stakeholders
Lead and enhance actuarial peer review processes
Provide strategic insights to support financial planning, forecasting, and long-range strategy
Present to Board Audit Committees and engage with rating agencies as a senior representative of ZNA
Proactively communicate actuarial findings, trends, and insights to Business Unit leadership teams
Drive operational excellence, productivity, and efficiency improvements across the Actuarial Center of Excellence
Partner on resource planning to support business strategy and advance the actuarial function’s capabilities
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline
15+ years of actuarial experience
Demonstrated experience leading large cross-functional teams
Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) or equivalent
Previous experience as a Chief Actuary (preferred)
Broad actuarial expertise across reserving, pricing data, and analytics (preferred)
Ability to translate strategy into actionable direction for the organization (preferred)
Proficiency with statistical analysis software (preferred)
Strong executive presence with effective communication skills (preferred)
Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex analyses and present clear, actionable recommendations (preferred)
Experience collaborating across multi-functional teams (preferred)
Track record of solving complex business challenges using data, research, and strategic insight (preferred)
Deep understanding of the insurance business, regulatory environment, competitive landscape, market cycles, technology developments, and industry trends (preferred)
