About the role
- Senior Tax Analyst supporting fiscal routines and ensuring compliance for a major Brazilian hygiene company. Engage in automatization projects while reviewing tax legislation and collaborating with internal auditors.
Responsibilities
- Support reviews of tax calculations for ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS and ICMS-ST
- Automate the company’s tax routines and processes
- Participate in tax-related projects
- Monitor tax legislation and developments related to the Tax Reform
- Provide support for internal and external audits
- Prepare and file applicable tax reporting obligations, such as SPED Fiscal, EFD-Contribuições, DCTFWeb, PER/DCOMP and REINF
- Perform tax reconciliations and accounting for taxes
- Identify extemporaneous tax credits and manage compensation controls
- Serve internal and external stakeholders
- Provide support and answer queries from other analysts in the team
- Represent the tax area in meetings with senior leadership
- Support pricing activities, including related calculations and inquiries
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field (required)
- Extensive experience with tax routines and operations
- Experience with SAP and Mastersaf
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel)
- Knowledge of tax legislation (federal and state levels), with the ability to analyze regulatory changes and their business impact
- Experience with DTe and eCAC controls
- Experience in large-scale industrial companies and with tax incentive regimes
- Knowledge of J1BTAX, TaxOne, Python, SQL and Power BI and experience with process automation projects are a plus
