About the role
- Staff Systems Engineer at Woodward responsible for system development and leadership support. Collaborating for enterprise integration and managing system requirements within engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Derives system requirements and establishes acceptance criteria
- Identifies and manages areas of uncertainty and risk
- Works with customers and across the organization for concurrent engineering and enterprise integration
- Defines system and subsystems lifecycle
- Performs system modeling and simulation, engineering mathematical, and quantitative analysis
- Determines system architecture that best meets requirements
- Coordinates project plan design throughout PLC phases
- Performs system validation and verification
- Performs technical risk management and configuration control
- Manages system/component interface and technical assessment/control
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS)
- Technical/Science required
- Relevant experience or a combination of experience and advanced degree required
- Provides leadership of system and subsystem technical scope defined above and takes a lead role with engineers, designers and technicians
