- Reliability Engineer responsible for equipment reliability and safety using data-driven analysis for Wood in Aberdeen. Focus on proactive maintenance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Improving the reliability, integrity, and safety of equipment and systems across operations.
- Use data-driven analysis, engineering principles, and proactive maintenance strategies to reduce failures, optimize asset life, and support safe, cost-effective operations.
- Analyze asset performance data to identify trends, recurring failures, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain asset reliability models, including criticality assessments and failure mode analysis.
- Implement reliability centered maintenance (RCM), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA/FMECA), and condition monitoring strategies.
- Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance plans to ensure efficient asset care.
- Recommend maintenance task changes based on reliability insights and operational performance.
- Support digitalization of maintenance data, KPIs, and dashboards.
- Lead or support root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and integrity issues.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Reliability, or related)
- Knowledge of reliability engineering principles (RCM, FMEA, RCA, reliability modelling)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in CMMS/EAM systems (e.g. SAP)
- Ability to interpret maintenance and asset performance data
- Experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, chemicals, utilities, or heavy industry.
- Offshore Certification such as BOSIET.
- Certification such as CMRP, CRE, or equivalent.
- Site experience in the introduction and development of reliability processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with condition monitoring techniques.
- Root Cause Analysis Certification.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
