Our software platform uses artificial intelligence, sensor fusion, and edge computing to provide real-time situational awareness for air, land, and sea domains, enabling rapid decisions at machine speed. At our office in Nuremberg, we are looking for a **Project Management Office Associate (m/f/d)** starting as soon as possible. This will be a part-time (20-30 hours per week) position.
**Responsibilities**
**Procurement**
Execute and optimize the project and operational procurement processes, including requirements planning, inquiries, bid comparison, ordering, delivery tracking, and claims handling
Oversee the selection, evaluation, and development of supplier relationships + manage price and contract negotiations with and prepare confidentiality agreements for suppliers
Monitor delivery deadlines and quality, initiating corrective actions in case of deviations
Support in inventory planning, minimum stock levels, and disposition + maintenance of item and supplier data in internal systems
Oversee the goods receipt inspection process
**Logistics**
Organize and plan the shipping of exhibition goods to trade fairs and demonstrations, as well as manage general packaging and shipping activities, such as creation of delivery notes
Prepare and execute international shipments, such as the preparation of ATA Carnets
**Order and Project Processing**
Gather project status information from internal stakeholders to prepare project reports and track deadlines within projects
Support in the preparation of quotations
Monitor delivery dates with customers as part of order processing
Requirements
Completed commercial training (e.g., industrial clerk, wholesale and foreign trade management clerk) or comparable qualification with several years of experience in procurement or a similar commercial role, ideally in a small or medium-sized enterprise
Good knowledge of procurement, materials management, and basic logistics
Confident handling of quotations, pricing, terms, and delivery conditions
Basic knowledge of contract law and general terms and conditions (GTC) in the context of procurement and supplier contracts
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems
Understanding of cost accounting and economic efficiency (e.g., for evaluating potential savings) is preferred
Experience in the security industry, defense industry, or aviation is preferred
Ability to work independently and take responsibility, including prioritization of tasks and leading negotiations
High sense of responsibility for costs, quality, and the company’s delivery capability; willingness to continuously improve processes
Structured, careful, and reliable working style with high accuracy in numbers, deadlines, and contracts
Fluent English skills for communication with international suppliers and internal stakeholders
