About the role
- Adult Events Coordinator at Volleyball BC coordinating summer leagues and providing operational support for tournaments. Managing league administration and facilitating events in various locations across Lower Mainland.
Responsibilities
- Event coordination including facilitating leagues, tournaments and clinics/camps, set up and take down of leagues and tournaments
- Responsible for completion of event report forms and equipment inventory management
- Operational support of high-profile adult and youth tournaments
- Driving of VBC vehicles to and from events (transportation of league equipment)
- Administrative duties and schedule upkeep
- The Adult Events Coordinators will manage all league administration (inquiries, registration, draws etc.) and will be the first point of contact on site for Volleyball BC for all leagues and clinics
- Position coordinates with the Manager, Recreation Programs and the Manager of Communications & Events.
Requirements
- Knowledge of volleyball or similar sport (i.e., tournament draws, league scheduling)
- Must be able to work evenings at various locations around the Lower Mainland
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and friendly attitude
- Good organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs to waist height (role requires the ability to maneuver large and heavy equipment)
- Ability to drive a cargo van is required
- Must have conversational English proficiency.
