NMC Engineer managing Fixed & IP core network operations for Vodafone. Ensure network quality and performance while providing technical support across multiple departments.
Responsibilities
The Fixed Network Assurance NMC associate engineer carries out activities concerning the operation and maintenance of the Fixed & IP core network at all the company’s sites.
Perform the remote monitoring of network quality and performance.
Diagnosis and rectification of problems.
Maintains a high level of knowledge of services provided to Vodafone customers.
Escalates and manages incidents or problems that could affect those services, ensuring the availability and quality of these services.
Act as a single point of contact for Company’s internal technical departments and customer care, Regional NOCs as well as for foreign and domestic operators.
Requirements
One (1) year experience in telecommunications or Computer Systems (desired)
Must be able to work on 5-2 shift schedule and fulfill ad-hoc shift replacement needs.
Must have technical / professional qualifications: First degree or equivalent in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Physics or Computer Science.
Very good knowledge of English language oral and written.
Nice to have experience in: IP Networking (Certification such as CCNA, etc. is preferable).
Fundamental understanding of and hands-on experience with network technologies including, routing/switching, VLANs, etc.
Other BSS system, e.g., Siebel
