About the role

  • Broadcast Engineer providing first and second tier technical support for live shows and offline productions. Troubleshooting broadcast equipment and ensuring quality operation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support, troubleshooting and problem resolution for all digital video and audio signals from all control room systems to ensure quality 24x7x365 operation
  • Perform equipment preventive maintenance and repair for all broadcasting related equipment
  • Correct causes of equipment and system failures and document all incidents in Zeus
  • Provide high-level oversight to all transmission needs for the network
  • Maintain the output of all live and non-live channels and monitor the NOC dashboard to troubleshoot any broadcast network devices
  • Provide training on how to repair and setup equipment/systems
  • Work with transmission providers regarding escalation, issues, maintenance and performance
  • Receive equipment delivery into system and assetize all new gear
  • Perform equipment installation and debugging as projects demand

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience with broadcast related equipment including still store, clip playout, graphics systems, cameras and related robotics, switchers, routers, wireless and hardwired intercom, wireless IFBs and microphones
  • Can explain technical issues clearly and patiently to all level of users
