Wellness Therapist providing massage therapy services at Virtua Health facilities. Responsible for enhancing client well-being through various massage techniques with emphasis on community health.
Responsibilities
Provide consistent professional massage in accordance with licensure and certification standards and health system policies and protocols.
Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services.
Exercise judgment based on client assessment to determine best technique.
Educate clients regarding self-care to extend the massage benefits.
Document massage using SOAP notes for all full body massage clients.
Uphold standards of sanitation and infection control as directed by professional standards and the Department's policies and procedures.
Uphold standards relating to scope of service.
Attend and participate in quarterly staff meetings.
Utilize Virtua systems as instructed to clock hours, view schedules and sign up for corporate massage events.
Complete all Virtua required training i.e. compliance and safety.
Receive and accurately process client payments during evening or weekend shifts or as needed (Collingswood Community massage clients).
Be aware of current specials and fee schedule.
Operate gift card and credit card equipment.
Participate in building massage practice volumes by sharing Virtua massage and wellness information, and seeking opportunities for referral streams.
For corporate massage events, arrive 15 minutes before event start time and bring all necessary supplies including fliers/business cards and consent/waiver forms.
Communicate directly with event contact person if needed.
Return consents to Dept.
Requirements
Minimum of 2-4 years experience conducting massage therapy with volumes to illustrate level of experience
Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and possess a positive and friendly personality
Must possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills
Must have basic working knowledge of the computer
Must be a team player
Must hold and maintain a current state license and must uphold requirements of certifications.
