About the role

Solution Architect managing technical aspects of Varicent's implementations. Collaborating with clients to create scalable solutions based on automation and integration needs.

Responsibilities

Think outside the box to create solutions both inside and outside of the products.
Actively work on multiple large-scale projects in parallel as a technical product expert.
Lead architectural scoping sessions with clients, focusing on data models and integration.
Conduct technical reviews to ensure projects are positioned for success and scalable.
Guide customers to utilize Varicent features properly and creatively to meet their needs.
Identify product and internal process improvements.
Collaborate with product management and development teams to review upcoming architectural changes and third-party integrations.
Develop front-end interfaces to streamline customer data entry, workflow, and visual presentation.
Develop scripts using Python.
Develop interfaces that interact with RESTful APIs.
Optimize complex queries, reports, and processes.
Coordinate and communicate with the customer’s project manager and project resources.
Travel to client sites domestically or internationally may be occasionally required.

5+ years of experience in IT as an architect, developer or consultant.
Demonstrates high levels of emotional intelligence with the ability to collaborate and work with different personality types effectively.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work across multiple projects and prioritize parallel work streams.
Experience with SQL Server, Postgres, or similar relational databases.
Experience with Web Development using JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON structures.
Degree/diploma in Computer Science and/or related field.
Experience in architecting technical enterprise solutions.
Understanding of database maintenance & design for performance optimization (e.g., indexes, fragmentation)
Understands data modeling concepts, methodologies, and processes.
Prior experience in building relational databases.
Skilled in analyzing and documenting business requirements and corresponding solution specifications.
Able to work with minimal direction.
Understanding of, and experience with, application architecture (client/server, web, database).
Able to complete calculations & reporting and to create complex formulas, macros and sophisticated formatting in Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical solutions to both IT and business personas.
Experience with Extract, Transform & Load (ETL)
