Responsibilities
Contribute to the planning and execution of compliance initiatives within payroll and other product areas.
Translate regulatory requirements into clear, actionable inputs for product teams.
Support the delivery of high-quality solutions on well-defined roadmaps.
Monitor upcoming regulatory changes relevant to payroll and wage tax, and assess their impact within your scope.
Provide structured requirements and recommendations to support product decisions.
Help identify compliance risks or gaps and escalate appropriately with proposed mitigations.
Work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to ensure compliance considerations are understood early in the development process.
Clarify compliance requirements and support cross-team discussions as needed.
Contribute to maintaining a collaborative, efficient working environment.
Provide guidance to team members and customer-facing teams on compliance topics within your expertise.
Contribute to internal training or documentation to build broader team understanding of compliance processes.
Identify opportunities to streamline compliance-related workflows.
Participate in workshops or reviews aimed at improving product and compliance processes.
Use data and documentation to support compliance assessments.
Help identify compliance risks and support mitigation planning within defined areas.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of German wage tax and payroll compliance, typically with 4–6 years of relevant experience
Experience supporting product development with compliance insights in a complex or regulatory-focused environment
Comfortable working with product and engineering teams to translate regulatory requirements
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills in German and English.
