About the role

• VP of Product & Engineering leading the technical vision and execution for twomynds, a Data & AI consulting firm transitioning to Product-Led Solutions. Overseeing team scaling and product development.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the technical vision and execution of our transformation into a product-led consulting company.
• You will build the bridge between our successful consulting projects and scalable, AI-based solutions and grow our technical team from today’s 7–9 people to 15+ experts.
• You will work directly with the founders, have full decision-making authority over tech stack, hiring and the product roadmap — and actively shape twomynds as a technical leader.
• Develop solutions instead of projects
• Identify recurring patterns in client engagements and transform them into productized, AI-powered solutions (e.g., AI-based marketing attribution, predictive analytics, NLP-powered analyses).
• Develop and pilot our first scalable solution from concept to market-ready product.
• Define a technical roadmap that combines state-of-the-art AI technologies (LLMs, ML automation, GenAI) with practical business applicability.
• Scale and lead the technical team
• Establish technical excellence: from modern MLOps practices to production-ready AI systems.
• Create a culture that combines innovation with pragmatic execution — "shipped beats perfect".
• Connect innovation and delivery
• Set standards for reusable ML models, AutoML frameworks and GenAI integration in client projects.
• Make technology decisions: cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), ML platforms, data stacks, AI tools.
• Master the balance between fast, bespoke client delivery and long-term, scalable product development.
• Strategic partnership & thought leadership
• Shape the product strategy with the founders: which AI opportunities do we address as products? Where do we allocate our resources?
• Support pre-sales and strategic client projects with deep AI and technical expertise.
• Represent twomynds externally as an AI and tech thought leader (conferences, content, employer branding).

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience, including at least 2 years of technical team leadership (managed 5–10+ people).
• Strong AI expertise and hands-on project experience: you have deployed AI/ML in production (not just prototypes) and understand modern AI technologies such as ML/AI, LLMs, GenAI, NLP and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Hugging Face).
• Consulting or product-company background: you either know the consulting world and have built productized solutions there, or you have developed AI products at tech companies.
• Pragmatic delivery mindset: "shipped beats perfect" — you deliver functioning MVPs, not over-engineered monuments, and move quickly in ambiguity without sacrificing quality.
• Preferred: consulting-to-product experience — you understand how to extract reusable, scalable solutions from custom projects.
• Scale-up experience in companies with 20–100 employees.
• Cloud & MLOps: familiar with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), MLOps, data engineering and analytics stacks (Modern Data Stack).
• Strong communication skills: you can translate AI complexity for business stakeholders and are confident at the C-level.
• Languages: fluent German (C1+), good English.
