About the role

  • Legal Operations Manager supporting the in-house legal department at Trulieve. Optimizing operations and managing budgets to enhance the legal team's efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement efficient legal processes and workflows to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of Legal Tracker or equivalent software to ensure effective matter management, billing, and reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of the legal department's budget, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with external legal service providers, including negotiating rates and evaluating performance.
  • Analyze legal data to provide insights and recommendations for improving department performance and decision-making.
  • Lead and manage legal projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business objectives.
  • Support compliance initiatives and risk management strategies to protect the company’s interests.
  • Work closely with legal team members and other departments to ensure alignment and support for legal initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • 5+ years proven experience in legal operations, preferably within an in-house legal department.
  • Familiarity with Legal Tracker or equivalent legal management and ebilling software.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
