About the role
- Network Specialist ensuring stable, secure network operations across multiple locations for TQG. Collaborating with teams for network optimizations, implementations, and lifecycle management in hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure stable, secure and high-performance network operations across multiple sites
- Plan, implement and evolve network architecture (LAN, WAN, WLAN) and secure access solutions
- Operate, optimize and manage the lifecycle of the network environment (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Analyze and permanently resolve network incidents in 2nd- and 3rd-level support
- Proactively monitor networks, optimize performance and perform capacity planning
- Contribute to defining and establishing network standards and security policies
- Maintain and develop technical documentation and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners
Requirements
- Vocational training or degree in computer science, network engineering or a comparable qualification
- Solid experience in operating and developing network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, WLAN)
- Knowledge of modern access concepts (e.g. SASE)
- Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP and strong experience in routing and switching (e.g. VLAN, STP)
- Experience operating and configuring network and security solutions, ideally with Cisco (particularly Meraki) and Check Point
- Deep understanding of network security concepts (e.g. access concepts, segmentation, policy design)
- Experience troubleshooting complex network environments and working with monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. Checkmk)
- Experience in the OT (Operational Technology) environment is a plus
- Structured and analytical working style, team player and confident communication in German and English
