About the role

  • Network Engineer planning, installing and operating LAN and WLAN infrastructures for data centers and international clients. Implementing standards, troubleshooting, and supporting technical inquiries in 2nd/3rd level.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, installation and operation of LAN and WLAN infrastructures — for both data center environments and international clients
  • Implementation of new site connections, coordination of network hardware relocations and execution of infrastructure refreshes
  • Working in routing & switching, wireless, firewall and WAN environments, including 24/7 troubleshooting
  • Ensuring stable network operations and optimizing performance
  • Implementing network standards and ensuring compliance with security policies
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation such as topologies, configurations and troubleshooting logs
  • Supporting business units as a technical contact at 2nd/3rd level

Requirements

  • Completed IT vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist in System Integration) or a comparable degree
  • Several years of experience in LAN, WLAN and WAN
  • Knowledge of network security and security protocols
  • Experience with vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point, Aruba and Meraki
  • Experience with network management, monitoring or automation
  • Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CWNP or Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) are advantageous
  • Independent, structured and analytical working style
  • Fluent communication skills in German and English
