Senior Network Engineer designing and implementing complex LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructures for Data Center environments. Involves high-level project management and technical documentation.
Responsibilities
You design, implement, and operate complex LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructures for data center environments, including international customer sites
You plan and lead network projects such as site connections, migrations, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure modernizations
You work extensively in routing & switching, wireless, firewall, and WAN environments and perform 3rd-level troubleshooting for complex incidents
You develop scalable, highly available network architectures and optimize performance, stability, and availability
You implement network and security standards as well as segmentation and security concepts
You automate network processes and use monitoring and management tools for proactive analysis and optimization
You produce technical documentation and network designs (HLD/LLD) and act as the technical point of contact for internal teams and customers
Requirements
Completed IT vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist in System Integration) or a degree in Computer Science / Network Engineering
Extensive experience (minimum 8 years) in enterprise networking with LAN, WLAN, and WAN
Strong knowledge of routing & switching, network protocols, and enterprise network design
Solid experience in network security (firewalls, VPN, segmentation, security protocols)
Experience with vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point, Aruba, or Meraki
Experience with monitoring, network management, or automation (e.g., APIs, scripting)
Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, CWNP, or Check Point Certified Security Administrator are a plus
Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, round off your profile.
