About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Legal team to deliver high-quality legal support across the group.
- Oversee the drafting, review, negotiation, and management of commercial agreements, ensuring contractual arrangements adequately protect the company’s interests and mitigate legal risks
- Provide legal advice on financial services laws and regulations, including derivatives trading, financial promotions, client money rules, AML/CTF, and consumer protection requirements
- Identify and manage legal risks associated with the company’s operations and strategic initiatives. Manage disputes, litigation, and regulatory matters, coordinating with external counsel where necessary
- Provide legal support for licensing applications, renewals, and other interactions with financial regulatory bodies.
- Act as the key point of contact for legal matters across departments, including Sales, Marketing, Back Office, and Human Resources.
- Liaise with external legal counsel, regulators, and other stakeholders to obtain and control legal budgets and ensure efficient use of external counsel.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of Corporations Law and financial regulatory frameworks
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in the legal field
- Holding either a Bachelor of Laws or Master of Laws degree
- Relevant experience within financial services or legal practice is required
