About the role
- Junior UX Consultant working within a creative team at GAIN, delivering engaging digital experiences. Collaborating with clients to develop user-centered solutions based on research and methodology.
Responsibilities
- Liaising with clients communicating clearly and positively whilst fostering good relationships and providing excellent service at all times.
- Developing and conducting appropriate research and other UX activities through a range of methodologies including survey, depth interviews, usability testing, card sorting, competitor reviews, personas, journey mapping, service design, IA development, wireframing and prototype development.
- Analysing research to identify problems and opportunities for product or service improvements.
- Making recommendations and confidently communicating these to product and design teams through a variety of formats such as written reports and visualised designs.
- Contributing to collaborative workshops with clients to support them in developing and implementing solutions.
- Working with research participant recruitment teams to identify representative users of a product or service.
- Supporting the wider team, including client services, sales and marketing as required.
Requirements
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant field and/or completed a recognised intensive UX course.
- Some relevant industry experience would be beneficial but not essential
- Relevant transferable skills and knowledge from other work and life experiences are also valid
- Experience of visually communicating design solutions
- Passion for understanding human behaviour and interactions with digital products and services
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Well organised, plans in line with delivery needs and able to adapt when context or requirements change
- A proactive problem solver with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a commitment to continual learning and development
- An effective active team member who contributes positively
