Assistant Director overseeing community supports operations ensuring quality improvement at The Arc Southern Maryland locations. Collaborating with staff to evaluate and improve service delivery and funding plans.
Responsibilities
Under general supervision, Assistant Director oversees the operations of all assigned services.
Improves services and assures measured outcomes throughout the assigned services.
Assures that staff meet all measures of the agency’s quality improvement plan.
Provides supervision and guidance to assigned staff.
Evaluates staffing to assure that it meets the needs of the people receiving the services while maintaining the assigned budgets.
Assures that funding plans reflect the actual needs of each person receiving supports.
Responsible for employment, day, community supports, autism waiver, virtual, ISS, DORS, and personal support programs.
Directs activities along with the community supports manager of The Arc Southern Maryland locations.
Requirements
Possesses a bachelor’s degree in a related field
Three years of progressively responsible experience
Supervisory experience
Knowledge & understanding of DDA, National, State and local issues relating to intellectual and cognitive disabilities.
Proficiency in computer-based software, e.g. Excel, Word and additional databases
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
Possesses a valid driving license with a good driving record for transporting people receiving services
Ability to pass the criminal background check mandated by the State of Maryland
