About the role
- Lead Insight Analyst overseeing TEG’s analytics output and providing technical mentorship. Transforming complex data into impactful narratives for executive decision-making.
Responsibilities
- oversee the end-to-end analytics workstreams to ensure that insights are accurate, timely, and aligned with strategic business priorities.
- Serve as the technical lead and mentor, providing guidance on SQL, visualization, and advanced methodologies without the responsibility of direct people management.
- Perform deep-dive analysis on complex customer, commercial, and digital datasets to solve high-priority business challenges.
- Develop compelling narratives and executive-ready dashboards that translate multi-channel data into actionable strategies for senior leadership.
- Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure data integrity and provide insights for tactical decision-making.
- Define and promote standards for data visualization and reporting to ensure consistent, professional output across the insights function.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years experience in a data-heavy environment, ideally within entertainment, e-commerce, or retail.
- A tertiary degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Data Science).
- Proven record of going beyond simple reporting to deliver strategic insights that drive commercial growth.
- Possess a strong understanding of the wider data ecosystem, including data science and ML methodologies.
- Have expert-level knowledge of SQL and use of tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to create high-performance, intuitive dashboards.
- Experience using hands-on guidance and standard-setting to elevate a team's technical abilities.
- The ability to transform complex data into clear stories that focus on "the why" behind the numbers and turn vague business questions into structured, actionable analytical projects.
