Strategy Manager role at HARMAN focusing on strategic initiatives for the Intelligent Cockpit business. Leading collaboration across teams to drive innovation and customer centricity in automotive technology.
Responsibilities
Drive Strategic initiatives: Act as a point of contact for strategic initiatives involving in-cabin technologies across our portfolio (e.g., Visual Experiences (Displays, Head-up Displays), Cockpit Domain Controller/ In-Vehicle infotainment Hardware and Software, Central Compute Unite, Automotive Software Solutions and Products).
Support the teams hands-on with expertise, facilitation, strategy drafting and project management.
Actively guide strategy development and strategy execution.
Be open to spending certain time periods fully on individual topics to help ramp up strategic initiatives as key contributor and/or project lead.
Do this by working within our MS Teams environment, Office suite, facilitating on site and virtual workshop (using e.g. Figjam) and applying AI to our strategy work.
Leverage our tools to act data driven: Use market research, data, and insight to understand target audiences, competitors, shape strategic thinking and drive tactical execution.
Be a proficient user of our tools such as Market Intel database, Qlik (Power BI), Saleforce, MS Copilot.
Communicate and receive feedback on our strategy: Contribute to the development and communication of clear, data-driven strategy documents and presentations.
Bring our strategy out to the Automotive division in different formats, that we define and host as a team.
Establish customer centricity: leverage and build up relationships with strategy and product management departments at our key customers together with the relevant customer account, business and product teams.
Gather insights into their strategic roadmaps and leverage those to drive innovation and generate business ideas for our portfolio.
Foster excellent collaboration and a culture of belonging: Build and maintain strong working relationships across different departments and with external partners. Collaborate closely with our partner team portfolio, product, engineering, innovation, technology and strategy teams to support the SBU IC’s alignment with the overall Automotive Strategy
Requirements
Master degree in business, engineering, or a related field
At least 8 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: strategy, consulting, product management, portfolio management, business development, technical marketing or a related area.
Experience in Automotive, preferably with in-cabin technology (e.g., Computing units, displays, software)
Strong business acumen and experience in developing strategies
Proficiency in Excel (XLS), PowerPoint (PPTX), and experience with tools such as Qlik and Salesforce for data analysis and reporting.
First experience and openness to using AI tools in daily work
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics in a clear and approachable way.
Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with strong project management capabilities
Strategic thinking and structured problem-solving ability
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, global environments
Fluent English language skills; German language skills are a plus.
