Responsibilities
- Use innovative data analytics and machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from the bank's data reserves
- Identify, collect, extract data from various sources, including internal and external sources
- Perform data cleaning, wrangling, and transformation
- Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines for automated data acquisition and processing
- Design and conduct statistical and machine learning models to analyse patterns, trends, and relationships in the data
- Develop and implement predictive models to forecast future outcomes and identify potential risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to seek out opportunities to add value from data through Data Science
Requirements
- Experience in developing and monitoring underwriting and credit line assignment strategies for lending products (credit card experience preferred)
- Strong analytical acumen with ability to draw insights from vast amount of data
- Experience with Python, SAS/SQL or other relevant statistical tools
- Proficiency with analytical software (Python), SQL tools (Oracle), Unix platforms, and MS Office
- Familiarity with loss forecasting, improving the underwriting criteria, and implementation testing
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly, in both written and verbal form.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and thrive in a dynamic and brisk environment
- Knowledge of statistic principals
