About the role
- Climate Risk Intern developing adaptation and resilience solutions across various climates and hazards. Engaging in research, client interactions, and product development within Swiss Re's Climate Risk Services team.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to the development of adaptation and resilience solutions across multiple hazards and geographies
- Supporting research and analysis of adaptation measures, including assessment of ROI and risk mitigation impacts
- Contributing to the enhancement of our climate risk reporting framework by integrating diverse data sources into client-ready outputs leveraging AI solutions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine methodologies and improve existing solutions
- Engaging with clients to gather feedback, validate concepts and support product–market fit
Requirements
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in civil engineering, natural sciences, computational sciences, or a related technical field
- Strong understanding of physical climate risks, resilience strategies and adaptation planning
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to physical climate risk is an asset
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills (Python proficiency)
- Experience with AI tools such as AI Report Builder
- Structured, self-driven and solution-oriented working style
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
