About the role
- AI Product Owner working on AI applications to enhance decision-making in the (re)insurance industry. Combining engineering expertise and leadership within the Property & Casualty AI Transformation team in Zurich.
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of AI products, from concept to deployment and integration into user applications.
- Act as a stakeholder partner, aligning product roadmaps and delivery with business strategic objectives and technology landscapes to harness the power of AI in our underwriting, claims and operations processes.
- Build scalable data pipelines and AI applications, ensuring robustness, performance, and enterprise-grade quality.
- Shape the standards and best practices for LLM implementation, AI product governance, and responsible AI use across the company.
- Stay at the forefront of emerging AI technologies and methodologies, evaluating their practical business application.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand and translate underwriting, claims or operations business requirements into technical specifications and actionable plans, ensuring successful delivery.
- Design and develop user-centric AI applications in Python/PySpark, that align with business and technological requirements, emphasizing user experience & data storytelling.
Requirements
- A university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years’ experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade AI/GenAI or data-driven applications.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI solution implementation, understanding strength and limitations of models, and AI models from training and testing to deployment in production.
- Strong proficiency in Python/PySpark and software development best practices.
- Expertise in data pipelines and MLOps practices at scale.
- Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and align across business and Digital & Tech.
- Excellent communication skills in English, able to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
