Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction to a team at an entity or in a system department providing financial services.
- Monitors operational and financial performance, and manages the presentation of financial information in conjunction with Shared Services Accounting, ensuring financial services meet the needs of business leaders.
- Provides consultation to leadership team on major and complex healthcare trends and issues with strategic importance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's: Accounting, Finance, Business or Healthcare Administration or related field
- 12 years recent relevant experience
- Working knowledge of accounting and/or finance operations.
- Working knowledge of managerial/financial accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Working knowledge of healthcare operations and financial reporting requirements.
- Knowledge and understanding of healthcare financial and operating challenges and the business environment, including emerging trends and issues.
- Ability to translate complex financial data and analysis into presentations for appropriate audience.
- Strategic skills for reviewing processes and strategies to ensure successful alignment with business needs and for identifying improvement opportunities
- Analytical skills with proven ability to resolve issues/problems by leveraging business and functional knowledge, and client relationships.
- Ability to operate strategically and tactically.
- Demonstrates credible leadership presence, with the ability to respond to questions with logic, clarity, calmness and authority.
