About the role
- Financial Analyst responsible for financial procedures and reporting support at Advarra. Collaborating with finance, commercial, and delivery organizations to advance clinical research.
Responsibilities
- Support client reporting requirements, including preparing protocol budget estimates and actual client spend schedules
- Assist with the financial system setup for new customers, contract awards and pricing schedules
- Prepare IRB invoices, review invoices for accuracy, distribute invoices, and perform other similar processes associated with the invoice-to-payments cycle
- Prepare journal entries and updating of periodic financial close schedules
- Respond to both internal business partner and external client inquiries
- Preparation of periodic KPIs for management
- Peer review of work performed by junior team members
- Create ad hoc reporting as needed
- Assist with acquisition related activities
- Maintain databases to ensure data is up to date and accurate
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of related finance or accounting experience
- Strong computer skills with MS EXCEL (Intermediate), MS Access, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
- Accounting procedures and practical knowledge of GAAP
- Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to provide solutions and follow-up within established rules and timelines
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
